Karam Mindele is a German artist based in Seoul, South Korea. Her work combines dreamlike illustration, fairytale-inspired narratives, and influences from Art Nouveau, Korean Minhwa, music, and theater. Through delicate linework and symbolic storytelling, she creates emotional and fantastical worlds centered around beauty, imagination, and connection.
가람 민들레는 대한민국 서울을 기반으로 활동하는 독일 출신의 아티스트이다. 그의 작업은 몽환적인 일러스트레이 션과 동화적인 서사, 그리고 아르누보와 한국 민화, 음악, 연극에서 받은 영향을 결합한다. 섬세한 선묘와 상징적인 이야기 구성을 통해 아름다움, 상상력, 그리고 연결을 중심으로 한 감성적이고 환상적인 세계를 그려낸다.
My work creates dreamlike worlds where storytelling, emotion, and imagination meet.
Inspired by fairytales, music, theater, Korean culture, mythology, and nature, I create detailed illustrations that invite viewers into spaces of beauty, quietness, and emotional reflection. Many of my works begin from moments that deeply move me — a stage design, a song, a ballet performance, a fairytale, or a feeling that cannot easily be explained through words.
I often portray female figures as symbolic characters, goddesses, or emotional storytellers existing between fantasy and reality. Through delicate lines, metallic details, organic forms, and rich visual layers, I build worlds that feel both intimate and fantastical.
I hope my work offers viewers a moment of pause within everyday life — a space to reconnect with their imagination, emotions, and inner voice. I want my works to remind people of the stories already living inside them and inspire a deeper connection with creativity, beauty, and themselves.
나의 작업은 이야기와 감정, 그리고 상상력이 만나는 몽환적인 세계를 그려낸다. 동화, 음악, 연극, 한국 문화, 신화, 자연에서 영감을 받아 관람자가 아름다움과 고요함, 그리고 감정적인 사유 속으로 들어갈 수 있는 섬세한 일러스트를 만든다. 많은 작업은 무대 디자인, 음악, 발레 공연, 동화, 혹은 말로 설명하기 어려운 감정에서 시작된다.
나는 종종 여성의 형상을 상징적인 존재이자 감정을 전달하는 이야기 속 인물로 표현한다. 섬세한 선과 금속적인 디테일, 유기적인 형태와 층위 있는 구성을 통해 현실과 환상 사이에 존재하는 세계를 만들어낸다. 나의 작업이 일상 속 잠시 멈춰 설 수 있는 공간이 되어, 관람자가 자신의 상상력과 감정, 그리고 내면의 목소리와 다시 연결되기를 바란다.
또한 작품을 통해 각자 안에 이미 존재하는 이야기와 창조성, 그리고 아름다움을 발견할 수 있기를 희망한다.
